Susan graduated from the University of South Florida with honors, a major in biomedical sciences, and a minor in history. She is currently taking certified nursing assistant classes while applying to nursing school. She hopes to one day to help women take better care of their infants since the United States has a high infant mortality rate. Writing and history were always her favorite subjects and after writing her thesis on why Florida should incorporate sex education into the public school system, she began using writing to share her opinions with others. Though she first wrote about the local baseball team, the Tampa Bay Rays, the election of 2012 has inspired her to write about politics and history in hopes of educating the population about women, children, and health. She was a member of Planned Parenthood in college, even meeting Planned Parenthood President Cecile Richards, which caused her to become more involved women’s rights. Susan also volunteered as a camp counselor at a camp for people with physical and mental disabilities; seeing mental illness first hand caused her to become a proponent of it. Susan is also a black belt in Tae Kwon Do. in In her free time she goes to the gym, reads historical novels, and plays videogames.
